Workday Help Needed
We'll be having our Annual Fall Workday on Saturday, Oct. 10 beginning at 9:00 am. This workday is filled with fun and yes, some hard work. We use this day to help Judy and me get the gardens ready by laying straw around the gardens to protect them from the winter months ahead as well as cleaning Whitetail Lodge inside and out.
This year we also have a special project related to the Pathway of Hope Garden area. We are hoping to lay down all new edgers along the sides of the stones in the garden. Originally we had used natural wood along the edges. But time has decayed these edgers so we're looking to replace them with cement edgers. That means we can use some people who like to get down on their hands and knees and lay stones. We'll have all the supplies, but we need your bods.
If time permits, and if we have enough workers, we'll also do some tree work and wood splitting to replenish our wood shed supplies for our guests to use in the fire ring.
If you can come we'd love to have you contact us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org This is so we can get an idea of how many are coming so that George and Phyllis Colaizy can make their incredible chili and goodies for lunch. So plan to come and work as long or as short a time as you can. God bless, Pat & Judy
